No idea if you can submit scores on a continued run, Doc might know. I'd think no, but i've not tried - i'll look at it later if no one else has chimed in before then.

Well, this was run was worthy of a hole in the drywall.

As the last red pod on the 3rd boss was exploding I got nabbed by one of the red side-ways balls before it evaporated w/the rest of the bullets. Notice on the results screen it even gave me the full 20% progress for the stage. Oh well, improvement:

Also, does it let you submit for a run that you continued in? That would kill it's usefulness too...
It does, but the thing about that is that you get a lower end-of-stage score bonus if you continue, so if you reach, say, Stage 4 on one credit, you're pretty much guaranteed to have a higher score than someone who used continues to get to the same place.

Also, if you check the results screen for my run, you also get a bonus of 20% of your current score if you beat the game with no continues. So the online leaderboards are pretty reliable near the top, because there's no way that someone could get those scores by continuing. There may be one or two hacked scores in there, though, but that's another issue...

Getting a few runs in, very interesting to play a widescreen vertically scrolling shooter. So much real estate side to side. Graphics and gameplay are pretty nice.

Need FreeMCboot? I'll install it on your PS2 Memory Card for free if you cover postage both ways.
Consoles: I have too much stuff
Arcade: No seriously, I have too much stuff. Someone grab a shovel and dig me out of my basement.

I just put in 4 more runs - coasting to 3rd stage and finally realized why i'm dying from underneath - so now i'm starting to coast to the boss there. I'm also keeping my chain on stage 2 through the swamp and the boss - just need to put all the good stuff together and i'll have 3mil +...really hope I get some time during the week - this game is very very good.

I seriously adore this game right now. Always thought it was great, but playing Gauntlet for score just opened up to me how amazing it is. Wow. One of those games where I feel like everything is perfect about it. And when I'm playing well, I feel like it's ballet - just so precise. All these weaves where I'm impressed w/ myself for performing so well. And when it's a bad run, I'm frustrated cuz it's always my own fault. Nothing's unfair.

wait, what ship is "Gunpowder"?

Is that one of the DLC ones? I thought Mike said no to those...
