I've always found them to be good games, but not phenomenal.
In the same league as, say, Breath of Fire II, Phantasy Star IV, and Knights of Xentar - but not in the upper echelons with the likes of Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy VI, and EarthBound.
Whatever the case, I shall certainly give Lunar a run through this month. Still deciding which port to play.

I really need to give this game another go though too...I wanted to play it through when I bought it on psn(even though I still want to track down a physical copy) and I think I lost my vita charger since I was playing it on there. Definitely much better than the gba port to be honest since it actually had those animated cut scenes and everything which made for a much more charming game(of course that may just be my anime love speaking up)

By the time he finishes Final Fantasy man will have colonized the moon. So he'll have an appropriate place to play a game called Lunar.

I have somehow yet to play the Lunar games despite owning all of the US releases. My biggest question is what release will I play.

We did this for TR, right?
I've beat both Lunar games a couple of times. Great games, and the first is certainly in my top 25 or so RPGs...

Was still a lurker back then.
I have played through Lunar on Sega CD, PS1, and GBA (which isn't bad on it's own, but I prefer the disc versions).
One day I might get this on PSP too (if it's cheap), but I just assume make eboots of my PS1 game and its sequel to match.
I might join in on PS1, (as I started a game a few months back, and stopped not even an hour into it). But we'll see.
Otherwise, I just had to say that I'm a fan.
