Playing Burned Saturn Games

Yes it does act as a game genie. It comes preloaded with codes for a bunch of games.
Some of them dont seem to work though. I tried unlimited men with Galactic Attack / Layer Section and it didnt seem to do anything.

whats the deal with self booting burned saturn games?do they not work much the same as self boot dreamcast ones?i dont want to do the swap trick as it knackers your console after a while and i cant afford a chip at the moment i have the action replay though and its sweet no problems as yet.
