' Fulfilled by Amazon ' what does it mean ?

hi members , ive seen on Amazon US in the Marketplace ' Fulfilled by Amazon ' with sellers...........what does this mean ?


Amazon US has the below features


- refund or replacement on lost item/s even though postal carrier looses it
- refund or replacement on broken item/s
- etc.........


do sellers in the Marketplace that say ' Fulfilled by Amazon ' have the same values as Amazon US ?

Fulfilled By Amazon means that the merchant send their inventory to the Amazon FCs to utilize Amazon's entire fulfillment pipeline. Basically it becomes Amazon selling inventory on commission, and the returns pipeline also goes through Amazon. So you get all the benefits you would from buying from Amazon itself.

In a screwy way it's sort of like that hideous international shipping junk ebay attempts to force on every posting. The sellers goods is stored at a website corporate facility for the items and once it sells the company (not the item owner) takes care of the shipping to the buyer and the seller gets paid with them keeping a little cut.

Correct, all Fulfilled by Amazon items are Prime eligible, as if you were buying off amazon.com
