No I'm not, I was just poking at it. I do have an issue with welfare abusers, not those who legitimately need it. I hear enough about people who abuse it driving expensive autos pulling through walgreens to get free meds from my mother in law (pharmacy tech) while I get stuck with the bill for not being a cheat.

My whole view on last night is that the system has been super broken the last six years as you had a mostly unchecked president getting anything he wants, that's not good for business as there was no compromise, just agree with me or shut up and go sit in a corner style governing. Last night has forced either two situations, 2 years of nothing if Obama won't change his tune, or two years of things finally getting done by both parties trying to work junk out finally. Last night former leader Reed said something I actually laughed out at, that next year we need to listen to both sides and come together. He did everything to stop that for 8 years as it was fine when he could get his way and that's not how it should work. I don't get the blind childish hatred of the republican party in this thread (or for democrats either.) Both sides have their fringe scumbags (tea party, socialists) but the moderate types are in far larger numbers and at least they're willing to try and work together. The fact the right put the tea party clowns to bed finally is a good thing, they really just need to go the hell away and stop trying to run as republicans as they're not, they're nuts.
I have no hatred for Republicans, I respect their right to their own beliefs even if I don't agree with them. What I don't respect is the sweeping generalizations and ignorant bigotry that is widely accepted on these boards. Some people abuse welfare? OK, some people do all kind of things. It doesn't justify lumping them all together and making prejudiced statements about them based on a biased point of view.

Say I make a thread and post something like "Republicans won. I guess the country is really going to shit now, since a bunch of selfish, heartless, assholes will have a greater pull on the decision making." Would this be justified? I mean some republicans are selfish, heartless, assholes. So, why not throw them all under the bus and get it over with? Why don't more people on the boards give a shit about this kind of open hatred?

Yeah, it turns out Tanner time doesn't play well. So, I'm going to go with being a big fucking asshole as to better relate to my target audience.

Careful though, sometimes a fart is more than a fart. I know from experience. (true story)

Besides. We can always make room for another.

Jekyll and Hyde, TSTR tot. Tanner is tired of the bullshit. I'm even more tired of the blatant disregard for someone giving a shit about something that actually matters, while we have important issues to cover, like dicks.

About dicks: You are free to act like one all day long (apparently), but don't make the mistake of drawing an ascii character that vaguely resembles one...that shit is serious.

There were complaints. The mods acted on them. That's what happened.

So, there have been no complaints about bigotry? Ack, I respect you and I really don't want to take issue with you on this. In fact it wasn't the moderation of them that I was talking about, so much as Luke's bringing them up several times. As though he hasn't made any juvenile or offensive postings.

I find it ridiculous that there are more complaints about a phallic text character than the ongoing ignorant prejudice. That's not a reflection on the mods choice, rather on the board as a whole and what we choose to censor.

More on point, my rant is with a few select members in mind only. So, please disregard if you are obviously not part of that group. I'm tired of "This is how I am." and then when the chips are down "This is how I behave." If you're going to run around the boards with some personal vendetta obviously poking at folks you have had a run in with, at least be honest about it. Certainly don't have the audacity to call someone else childish.

When the topic of welfare comes up we have spirited debate about it in appropriate threads. People get called out when they cross the line into unintentional bigotry. But you don't see random "the poors" references across the boards. The dicks thing was just randomly putting that shit all over the place, and it paints a poor picture of the forums. But spirited debate of an issue does not reflect poorly on the boards.
