I'm tempted to try the game in a Saturn emulator.
I can report that Garegga runs fine on the Saturn SSF emulator. (If you don't have a rotatable monitor, you can always run it windowed and rotate the window by 270 degrees.)
Garegga
Jamestown
Espgaluda
Deathsmiles
Dimahoo in Week 3!
We ever decide what is happening with Jamestown?
There's a poll, needs a few more votes though, because Novice and Legendary are currently tied. I declare Legendary the winner, though, because 'Novice' doesn't actually exist (it should be Normal). :)

If we go by the old Psikyo console port difficulty levels, then for Jamestown it would be something like:

Normal = Baby
Hard = Easy
Legendary = Normal
Divine = Arcade
Judgement = Insane

So, are people really going to vote for Normal/Baby? Are you babies or men? :wink:
Or how we are handling DS emulation?
I saw a post on ShmupsFarm saying that Mame with blitter at 63% was pretty close to the 360 version, so that seems fine to me...

How did Dimahoo win when Espgaluda has more votes? :?

I'm cool with 63% blitter, if everyone has the newer releases that don't run like doggy poo, else that 63% will be more like 93%

I think because Dimahoo had more votes when declared the winners. People must have kept voting after he announced the schedule.

But the polls are locked, and have been? I tried to change my vote to Galuda a while ago and was unable to.

Any way to confirm this?

are you sure the polls are locked, or just that he set it so you couldn't switch votes?

EDIT: He set it so you could not change your votes. Notice how none of the polls say "Poll ended at..." under them? That means he never set an end time. He just decided that he felt enough people had voted and announced the winners. After that more people voted, but he didn't count those because he had already announced winners. If they could be changed after the schedule was announced, I'd get getting people to vote out BG right now so we could play something else for the remainder of the week. :lol:

I'm not sure how I would be able to note the difference, so I have no idea. Never saw it announced that votes were locked once cast, and they are usually open for change until the poll is closed, so I just assumed.

when you start a poll you can choose if you're able to change your vote. In all the TR polls right now for instance, you cannot change your vote.

yeah I get that, just not sure how I would be able to tell the difference. And, basing it off of our usual shmup votes, I assumed the polls were not locked to one time votes, as they never have been before.

My main question was: Is there anyway to confirm that Dimahoo was ahead when the polls "closed", but that they were not locked? Kidpanda was the last to post in the thread, and his was in time as far as I can tell, and was not even a vote for Galuda in the first place.

Its possible that someone didn't say anything and just randomly voted (Which would mean that Galuda still would have tied Dimahoo, unless we are assuming that TWO people came in and cast votes, and did not post, all happening past the voting deadline). It is also possible that someone just saw the wrong numbers, which seems more likely to me, no offense to whoever made the final call.

Edit: saw your edit, still feel unsure about it. Without being able to see when votes were cast (can you mod folk?), it seems like we are just going with an assumption. And, the more likely one would be that someone saw wrong, not that two random people who didn't decide to post in the thread just both happened to vote late, and for the same game.

If the final word is just "shut up, we picked Dimahoo" then fine, I'm not gonna drop out or anything. Just all seems odd. Why no changing votes for the first time in a shmup-thingy, unannounced? Why not close the polls? All that aside, what are the chances that two random peeps pop in and say nothing, just to push Galuda to the top? Why is this all more likely than someone just seeing the wrong numbers? I hope you can at least see why I am confused and questioning it.

no. There's no tracking of votes that I know of. All we know is that when Mike announced the schedule he said Dimahoo won. Nobody at that time said "hey now, that's not right!" so I'd assume he read the numbers correctly?
