C'mon, Virtua Tennis is the obvious option here, guys. And balls to California Games such a janky game.

I nominated Super Baseball 2020 to appeal more for the non-sports fans, thinking it might be enough of a change of pace to interest them, but NFL Blitz is basically a wrestling game disguised as football...

I would have voted for Super Baseball as my second choice behind California Games. I spend a lot of time playing it and find it to be a blast!Ack wrote:I nominated Super Baseball 2020 to appeal more for the non-sports fans, thinking it might be enough of a change of pace to interest them, but NFL Blitz is basically a wrestling game disguised as football...

SB 2020 is great (even the SNES port was decent), but with so many other choices...

Mario Golf for a few reasons - I want an excuse to buy it on N64 and GBC, Golf is ones of the few sports games I find quite enjoyable, and because I suggested it anyway

I'm all for Mario Golf -- just to build a character on Advance Tour and then transfer it to Toadstool Tour (GC)

Mario Golf is tons of fun.
Blitz would have been very close behind it for me, but that really needs other people in the room.

I've pushed for Virtua Tennis for years so glad to see it's up for a vote here.noiseredux wrote:surprised at the lack of Virtua Tennis fans.
But Mario Golf is a long running series that is very accessible for folks as well. I played a lot of golf games back in the late 90s/early 00s and remember getting the original for the N64 back in college. We played it a lot.
And I'm a huge NFL Blitz fan (and collector) so can't lose here with any of them really.

I'm actually a pretty big fan of golf games. The Mario Golf games are fun, no doubt. But never been at the top of my list. I certainly enjoyed the new 3DS game this year for instance. But honestly, I had more fun with Pangya on PSP in recent years. But whatever, I won't sulk if Mario Golf wins. It's a great series, and I'm always happy to play some golf games. Just feel like some better games are gonna lose because they don't have "Mario" in the title.
EDIT: That last part came out overly harsh. I actually do think that the best choices here are Virtua Tennis, Mario Golf and California Games.
