Maybe next generation or two. It comes down to terms and buyouts if Nintendo would go for it. When they split from Rare they also split up the IPs too so you see that situation where Banjo's N64 game lived on as did Conker in oddly more butchered form, but Goldeneye and Donkey Kong will be a cold day in hell.

So we have a new trailer showing off Splatoon's Single Player Campaign and man, I am getting more and more excited about this title. I was at first looking at it like some sort of TF2 style multi-player game, but you can tell that they took that basic concept of, "Shoot ink and use it to fast travel as a squid-person," and used it in mind-boggling ways in terms of level design as well as go above and beyond with adding new and interesting elements.

Very very interested to see more!

This game is definitely one of my most anticipated upcoming releases. I can't wait.

Until now I thought it was created by Sega. there was something very "Sega-ish" about it, and I can easily see resemblance between it and Panzer Dragoon Orta.

I would like to see how Splatoon turns out, but if history is of any indication (and this upsets me), usually games that try new things do no end selling well. Thats why we have 10 Call of Duties in 1 generation or so.

How crazy would it be if Splatoon was wildly popular and replaced Call of Duty as the shooter-of-choice for most people?

Those people would have to have Wii Us first. The game will also be too cartoony or kiddie for most.

That unfortunately is I imagine on the nose for an accurate idea of what will happen with Splatoon. It looks like a solid game, but the cool kids with their gore and modern or future terrorists won't have it.

When Splatoon was first unveiled I wanted it right then.

Now I just want it even more. It's definitely in my most anticipated games coming up as well.

He did say "how crazy". You are pretty much in agreement with him yet come off as disagreement. I think most would agree it's a pretty crazy idea.
