I like to have a choice of multiple ports myself, but I don't think I've ever been too worked up about a game being released on one system unless it's super stupid and impractical (like Xanadu Next being released on the N-Gage instead of GBA / DS / PSP - what the hell Falcom?!).

oh it's even more silly if you realize that this game WOULDN'T EXIST if it wasn't for Nintendo.

Nah, we haven't had that since the days of the PS1, Saturn and N64... Well, and the PS2, which had limited support for 60hz, unlike the Gamecube and Xbox. They days of black borders, a stretched display and slower gameplay are long gone
Also, PAL > NTSC. Why? Because most PAL equipment is capable of displaying NTSC signals, but the opposite is not usually possible. And PAL is higher resolution.
