How's this for an unpopular opinion (and I swear to GOD I'm not trolling).
My favorite NES game is Jaws.

Speaking of Jaws, I really need to play the xbox/PS2 game, Jaws Unleashed.

The first Strider... yeah, a bit overrated. Haven't played the 2 sequels though.ZeroAX wrote:I think Strider is boring

Strider was a very cool thing at the time, but heavy on flash and low on substance. It hasn't actually held up very well.
Re: Do You Have Any Unpopular Gaming Opinions?
Anyone play the recent modern Strider reboot? It was free on Playstation+ (PS4) a few months back but i'm ashamed to say that I havn't booted it up yet. Is it just strider with a face lift or did they make mechanical changes to it as well? I did pick up an import copy of Strider 1 + 2 for the PS1 and gave that a little bit of time. To me, that era birthed such a large library of action platformers that the genre got spread a bit thin. I feel the same way about the 3D adventure/platformers that the xbox/ps2 librarys had (Voodoo Vince, Blinx, Conkers, Dr Muto, and the list goes on...), I dont dislike any of the games, there are just so many of them that, individually, their significance is a bit suppressed.
Regardless, let's not forget that Japanese PS1 artwork:

Nah, I think it's a good game but it won't really shine unless you try to press foward as fast as possible. It's not the best platformer ever made, but it's tight and the enemy placement is great.marurun wrote:Strider was a very cool thing at the time, but heavy on flash and low on substance.
