I don't own it yet, but it sounds like people are loving it. I tried the demo and found it sufficiently awesome.
What are everyone's thoughts on it so far?

Re: The Bayonetta 2 Thread
I think I am going to buy it soon. I played the demo and it was definitely a better version of the original, very frantic and entertaining. I'd like to support Capcom for bringing it out and keeping it an exclusive to the Wii U.

I'm waiting for a deal or for an announcement of a port elsewhere because right now I'd basically have to buy the game + the pro controller at the same time since I can't imagine playing this with the gamepad. Besides, I have too much other stuff to play right now...
Still, I am glad to hear it has been well received by most of y'all. I'm still dying to hear impressions from someone who loves DMC3 as much as I do though...

That's how I'm playing. It's a little awkward, but I'm too lazy to pick up the pro controller that is probably a couple of metres further away than the gamepad, so it can't be that bad (or I'm just a masochist

I'll probably post more in depth thoughts later, but to sum up: It's probably my favourite new game I've played this year, it's awesome, silky smooth, the set pieces are incredible, I think it's better than the original, the graphics/art direction are brilliant and I can't stop playing it.

Capcom has no relation with Bayonetta in any shape of form. I think you mean either nintendo or platinum

Re: The Bayonetta 2 Thread
I think Sega has got to have some rights on Bayonetta as well, I can't think of another reason why their name would be in the game, even though it was largely funded and published by Nintendo.
Re: The Bayonetta 2 Thread
I've been playing the heck out of this.
It didn't wander too far from the 1st game, not a whole lot of new combat mechanics, summons or unlockables... The visuals are not as good as I imagined they'd be, limitations of the hardware show early on. Also the disc load times are sub par.
Overall it's still enjoyable, it didn't wander too far from the path of the first because it didn't have to, this is what fans of the game wanted. I would have liked slightly better enemy variation and a load more new attacks/mechanics/summons, but still found myself enjoying all the old ones being there.
The story was funny and full of fan service, but that is always to be expected from this franchise.
Worth the buy if you even slightly enjoyed the first.

Re: The Bayonetta 2 Thread
I gotta disagree with cha cha, I think it's amazing. I seriously can't see how it could have better visuals, personally, but I guess to each their own.
And I don't get people's arguments against the gamepad? I usually use it because it tends to live near my couch (on the charging dock) as opposed to my pro controller (which lives over by the system, plugged in permacharging just in case)... but I see little to no difference between using the two? The gamepad's a little heavier yeah, but I typically play with my controller basically in my lap, it's not like I'm holding them at arm's length. Do people do that? (Serious question, I don't see the weight being an issue in any way)
But yeah... gorgeous game. I haven't put as much time in lately as I would like to, I'm only on Chapter X (I think? I just fought The Prophet)... but man it's great in every way.

Re: The Bayonetta 2 Thread
If this were a first generation ps3 game, I'd agree on the visuals Kalessin. But the flat textures, lack of good shadows, shitty shading and old looking particle effects have not improved one iota from the original.
What shines is the fun in this game, and that is all that really matters. It's why ppl go back and play retro games to begin with, fun. So don't view my comments as a detraction.
Also please don't confuse graphical quality with style though my man. The game has tons of style and awesome art direction, it's why I loved it in the first place. If this was on a current gen console other than a nintendo product, it would have looked 100 times better. It saddens me to think about the limitations imposed by having to develop on this hardware exclusively.

That doesn't make any sense as you can compare the first one to the second since they came together and Bayonetta was a mid period PS3 game. Do you think Bayonetta looks as good as the sequel? You should say how the graphics compare to other WiiU titles. It doesn't seem a good comparison to compare how Xbone and PS4 games are. If that was the case I would think every 3DS game's graphics aren't that good because the Vita exist.
