taking out scratches on a disk
what is the best way take out the scratches on a ps2 game
Game systems:Original Xbox,PS2 Slim,PS3 60GB.
Re: taking out scratches on a disk
If you have a Game Crazy around most of them have a great disc buffer. They charge a very small amout to make the disc new again. Be warned though some disc types especially Dreamcast games don't react well to buffing.

Yes PS2 and Xbox buff fine. It won't take out big gouges, but surface scratches come out no problemjonathang wrote:does it work on original xbox and psone and ps2 gamescorn619 wrote:If you have a Game Crazy around most of them have a great disc buffer. those store machines are awesome but be warned that you should make sure they dont let the machine go too long or do it twice. because i let this guy at gamecrazy buff a tomba disc for me not long ago and now its a paper weight. i think he looked at the disc and then decided to do it once more. no bueno at all.
you can also pick up a disc buffer device at bestbuy or walmart. ive had success with disc dr in the past. it works reasonably well with really no risk to the games, the only thing is that you can see buff lines on the disc.

Yeah I wouldn't let some zit faced teenager do it. It will become a paper weight if done wrong.

The actual machines don't leave any buff lines though. Or were you just talking about Disc Dr.?andythebadass wrote:those store machines are awesome but be warned that you should make sure they dont let the machine go too long or do it twice. because i let this guy at gamecrazy buff a tomba disc for me not long ago and now its a paper weight. i think he looked at the disc and then decided to do it once more. no bueno at all.
