Donkey Kong for the Gameboy has got to be the most criminally overlooked game in all of Nintendo's library. The platforming, level design, and controls in this game are absolutely amazing - and I have no idea where they came from. You look at the other stuff Nintendo was doing at that time period and there is nothing at all that hints that this was something they had cooking. So much work was put into this masterpiece.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?

Well the triple jump did make it into Super Mario 64 :P. And yeah this game is AMAZING, the best Donkey Kong game imo (in the original DK series of course, which includes all the Mario VS Donkey Kong games), and I really hope to see a sequel one day, cause the newer games in the series are more about strategy than platforming.

DK'94 would pretty easily make a personal top games of all time list, yeah. It's really good.

It is truly amazing. When my 12 year old brother in-law found a dusty copy in his attic (they have never owned a gameboy), he gave it to me and it blew my mind away.

Also, that same attic contained my personal copy of Pokemon Emerald for the GBA. This isn't an attic that is used for storage either. It is a crawl space filled with bats rats and poo. Spooky story for Halloween!

It makes me laugh when I see a GotY edition of a game that no one (not even the designers of the game) consider it the game of the year that it came out.

Not sure if there is a TR topic for discussing all the polls together, but here are my picks:
2015 - My Picks
Jan - Grandia
Feb - Adventures of Lolo
Mar - Quake series (Should be Unreal series imo)
Apr - Bonk's Adventure
May - Wario's Woods
Jun - Zelda LTTP
Jul - Tekken
Aug - Nintendo Pinball (not sure what this consists of?)
Sept - NFL Blitz (Always wanted to play this on N64 actually)
Oct - Ghouls N Ghosts (would of picked "AitD" if it were the newer versions)
Nov - New Zealand Story (Genesis version for me)
Dec - Raiden
