I'm kinda with you, but more post OOT. Pretty much from that point forward, it was "The Legend Of Zelda and the Random MacGuffin That Drives The Whole Game". It's the same problem with Resident Evil. They had that one sequel that has "Best Game Of All Time" syndrome, so all subsequent games just try to repeat it. A Link To The Past will always be my fave.

Have you tried a Link Between Worlds? I am pushing it pretty hard, but really it IS my favorite Zelda game of all time. Just...beautiful

I'm curious, but I would have to shovel out the cash for a 3DS, and I'm currently renovating my room for Twitch broadcasting and a new YouTube channel. All of this new furniture and the XRGB-mini aren't cheap :) But I really do want to atleast try it some day.

haha. Sounds cool mate :D. Anyway, I could say get a 2DS, but naaah. This game deserves to be played on a 3DS XL, with a big screen and the 3D turned up all the way, this game just looks (and plays) amazingly. If nothing else the dungeons/puzzles are really fun. It's pretty easy though (at least on your first/normal playthrough)

It is much easier to adjust gear drop rates than it is to create a convincing world, so game developers do that.
I played a few MMOS alot (UO, Planetside, PSO, etc), and loot heavy games like Borderlands and ARPGs quite a bit, and after a point you realize that if you are not big into PVP or "being the best" that ludicrously rare drop is not needed. I farmed on Borderlands 2 quite a bit for certain weapons - Conference Call, The Bitch, The Bee, and a couple grenades. But in replaying it with Noise and Ack, I realized that while it was tedious I did have fun doing it. Would I do it again, no - screw you Presequel with your stupidly low drop rates, but I had alot of fun figuring out how to farm certain bosses and baddies to get the gear. It was like a puzzle. Now would I farm with someone else, so they could steal the item, no. When playing an MMO I made sure my party were all on the same page about who got the drop. Granted I mostly group with people I know so it is not as much of a problem - whatever drops that could be used the best for a certain player, that player gets it.

Unpopular Opinion?

Ghostbusters: The Video Game is better in all respects than Uncharted: Drake's Fortune.

A more "direct" sequel to a Zelda game has always intrigued me as they are rare, and I'm not buying this whole timeline bullshit. Just say almost every game is it's own thing, quit jerking us around and appeasing the fans that demand continuity, when its obvious (most of the time) it doesn't exist. Though, in the back of my mind, I am hoping for that game that will actually tie everything together (The Hero Of Hyrule, The Hero Of Time, and The Hero Of Legend team up or some shit).

I don't have a PS3 to confirm that opinion myself but I did prefer it over any of the Gears of War games. Really good game.

Yes I had gambits going full force all the time. I got up to 109 hours because I was trying to fill in every map of every area and kill all the quest monsters.

Heh, yeah, besides the ones that really obvious in-game (Wind Waker directly references OOT a lot, for example) the 'official' time line makes it pretty clear that it's a bunch of asspull that they made up as they went along. Continuity has never been a major concern for the developers, obviously, so it really is a wonder they just don't plain say it's just a Final Fantasy esque reboot every couple of games or something?

Might give them an excuse to make a Zelda that isn't just ALTTP/OOT redux #18*

*though, for what it's worth, I'll happily play more ALTTP/OOT reduxes :P
