Agreed. Both Super Mario Land 3: Wario Land (GB) and Virtual Boy Wario Land (VB) are solid platformers with little to no puzzle solving (besides that inherent in all platform games).Luke wrote:Wario Land on the VB should be right up your alley. Just finished that part. Too much like a collectathon for a while, but the underground escape was awesome. The dog partner is pretty handy, very much like Shadow Dancer (Arcade/SMS/Genesis)Luke wrote:Also playing Dead 2 Rights, but on the xbox.
Busting out of the prison is always a pain in the rear. Games need more dogs.

I am inclined to agree. I find link's awakening to be one of, if not the best zelda game... at least in the 2d styleBoneSnapDeez wrote:Link's Awakening.
Best Game Boy game ever? I'm inclined to think so.

Re: What are you playing?
I know I'm in the very small minority here but I don't love this game. I played through the DX version for the first time this past spring. Maybe it was the lack of nostalgia from never having played it as a kid but it just didn't click with me the same way the other older Zelda titles do.BogusMeatFactory wrote:I am inclined to agree. Re: What are you playing?
I have both DX and original but I deiced to go original for this playthrough.
From what I recall the DX version lets you take photos (in the game) and print them on the Game Boy Printer. There's also a bonus Color Dungeon.
The printer stuff doesn't trill me too much and I'm colorblind so the Color Dungeon would just be an exercise in frustration.
I also thought it sounded a bit funny but couldn't think of another way to phrase it.
You know what I mean though, right?
I also didn't know E.T. was a "bad game" until, yup, the internet.

Bone, what is wrong? Something has to be wrong, as I can see it in your face. Tell me!

Re: What are you playing?
E.T. isn't a bad game. When I was 4, we had the game for the system and I managed to beat it just fine. Don't know what people are all complaining about how hard and stupid it is. Want to talk about bad game....let's talk Raiders of the Lost Ark for the Atari....seriously....fuck that game.BoneSnapDeez wrote:

My original post that I deleted and edited included "the internet" and "E.T". E.T i sthe Rodney Dangerfield of Atari games.
Sorta on topic, I rarely wear jeans and t-shirts, butI do enjoy making stupid t-shirts as I have tons of iron on letters and blank T's. Thinking I need to make a t-shirt that reads
I
GOT
THE INTERNET

Why has the VB Wario Land not been remade for the 3DS? seems like a no brainerLuke wrote:Wario Land on the VB should be right up your alley. Despite the fact it will never happen, I still hope that Nintendo will port some Virtual Boy games to the 3DS. Ideally, we would receive a physical Virtual Boy Collection containing all of the first-party Virtual Boy games. It isn't going to happen, but I can still dream...(Just like I dreamed that all of Panzer Dragoon games would get ported to the Wii...)

One area where Nintendo totally sucks is compilations.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Ideally, we would receive a physical Virtual Boy Collection containing all of the first-party Virtual Boy games.
Besides the Mario All-Stars comps, Kirby Collection, Game & Watch Galleries, and whatever that stupidly expensive Zelda thing on GameCube is I can't think of any.
They even had the audacity to re-release games like Super Mario Bros., Balloon Fight, and Golf on GBA/e-Reader individually.
I'd love to see something like a Metroid Collection or Mother Trilogy on Wii U someday, but it isn't going to happen. At this point they probably figure that something like that would cut into their Virtual Console sales.
