Sega CD/Sega Saturn replacement case foam?

So, as I get more and more Saturn and Sega CD games, none of the games come with the original foam insert. This bugs me because without the insert, I find the manuals warp and the discs fall out. Does anyone have a homemade solution for this replacement foam? Or even a specific store that carries the right sized foam sheets that I can cut myself. I'm aware that this is a common issue.

It looks like you can buy about 10 for $10 on ebay but there must be a cheaper solution.

and hell, might as well post a very large image of it while i'm at it.

^Great idea, though I think I may actually just fill the remaining space inside the case with packing peanuts.

I've wondered the same thing over the years. I'd much rather find a good imitation and cut it to size than use packing peanuts.

Check hobby and craft stores. I've bought sheets of the hard white foam to make my own replacement NES blocks. If you can find a sheet of the grey foam that's the right thickness it would be easy to cut blocks with a ruler and a fresh Xacto knife. I just checked a few of mine and there were 7/8 and 1/2 inch ones.

Thanks for the info. Yeah I think I need to just stop by a craft shop and find some foam sheets with the proper thickness. I was able to find some styro foam squares that came packaged with something a while back and they fit almost perfectly and so I have about 4 of them for now. I'll go by Hobby Lobby or something this weekend and see what I can find. Theres also a quality art shop on campus that would probably have what I need as well.

I did not know that. That's a bit surprising, as the case seems pretty poorly designed without the foam.
