Official Neo Geo Pad for PS1/PS2

Post by 8bit »

This item just popped up on my ebay feed. Made by SNK, this thing could be amazing for any number of their compilations they put out. Anyone every seen or used one of these before?

Neo Geo Pad2 on eBay

*edit* I remember seeing the official neo geo fightstick for the PS2 before being discussed here on RB but I just discovered the neo geo cd pad version. Maybe I missed it or simply forgot it existed so I'm sorry if it was already discussed before in that old thread.

These things are pretty cool, and they feel like a real Neo•Geo CD pad. I got one for myself when I sold my NGCD console, I like to use it when I play Metal Slug Anthology on the PS2. I thought it'd also be useful for Street Fighter II HD Remix and SF4 on the PS3, but I ended up liking the Saturn controller (with USB adapter) better for that.

I have the PS3/PC version of this controller, and it's excellent. I found that it has limited use on the PS3 (my library is not filled with fighters), but that it is a wonderful PC controller. That 8-way pad is delicious.

Definitely a controller I'd love to have given my affinity for gamepads over sticks for fighting games.

It's a touch pricey but man it looks nice.

Yes! Used this myself before when just came out. Build quality compared to its NeoGeo CD counterpart original is essentially identical much like the sublime PS2 Neo Geo Stick (which I own 4 of). The controller was also available in a special bundle with KoF 94 Re-bout.

Damn! 4 Neo Geo PS2 sticks!? Sell me one. (or two!)

Glad to hear this pad is as good as I hoped. I won't be buying it today but maybe sometime soon.

I think C-Sword had one in that massive fightpad collection.
