You are far too nice.

I like Jason Vs Freddy for the tease that it is. It's terrible, but is exactly what you expect.

The Whip and The Body (1963)
Cube (1997)
Freddy vs. Jason (2003)
The Thing (2011)

I also have The Classic Slasher Collection, which features Don't Look In the Basement (1973), Scream Bloody Murder (1973), The Severed Arm (1973), and Silent Night, Bloody Night (1972).

What should I watch next?
The Thing wasn't very good, and a lot of it is from how much the producers cut from the practical effects and instead focused on CG in post production. It really kills the mood of the movie because the monsters transform from the hideous puppets in John Carpenter's The Thing into goofy looking cartoons.

Also on your slasher collection, I believe The Hatchet Murders is a Dario Argento film known primarily as Deep Red. I'm a fan of it.
I know...but I've seen that one already! (Thanks for the advice on The Thing. My wife was leaning toward that one, but I think I will lobby hard for Cube.)

Yes, do that. Luke was right, I was being quite nice about The Thing. It's a movie I went into wanting to like and instead feel like it was a horrible misstep. I still love the pseudo franchise, but this is a film that would have been infinitely better if some asshat hadn't cut the budget for ADI's practical effects in favor of shoddy and overused CG.

Deep Red is one of the good Argentos.

I like Freddy Vs. Jason as well. It's fun. All the "Jason" movies are fun really. Jason Goes To Hell is like an EC Comics version of F13. Jason X is well, Jason In Space. It's just silly fun.

Good to know...I have been holding that one back for the week of Halloween, and I think I will stick by that decision. (Trick 'r Treat is my "night of" movie this year.)

Blind rental for me many years ago, and it was great. I think it was even low/moderate budget which is exceptional considering what they accomplished with it.

Found this:

http://ifitwerestine.tumblr.com/collect-em-all

It "reimagines" famous horror films and horror video games as novels in R.L. Stine's Goosebumps series. Also, it is awesome.
