Third party 360 controller with the best dpad?
Are there any that are good controllers in general and have a dpad that is good for playing retro games?

I like the Xbox 360 Madcatz fight pad. The D-pad isn't a traditional "+" but it feels good for retro stuff.

If this is for PC usage, get a Xbox One pad. You won't regret it.

This is very true, but I would personally recommend a Dualshock 4, since the driver for it allows you to use the touchpad as a mouse, which is very useful. Plus, it works with a standard bluetooth connection, so you don't need any adapters.TSTR wrote:If this is for PC usage, get a Xbox One pad. You won't regret it.

Is there a link to learn more? Everything that turns up on Google requires all sorts of software/a special dongle, etc. The 360/One controller is awful, being able to use the PS4 controller would be a treat.lisalover1 wrote:This is very true, but I would personally recommend a Dualshock 4, since the driver for it allows you to use the touchpad as a mouse, which is very useful. Yea it's for PC. PC games and emulation. I've read that the xbone dpad isn't much better. If you meant original xbox pad... I hate thos hehe.
I have only read about how hard it is to use a ps4 pad. Plus how is the dpad on that? It sucked pretty hard on the ps1 2 and 3.
The reason I am asking is I'm setting up hyperspin. Looking for a most in one controller.

The XBone d-pad is pretty awesome for 2D retro games, imo. Really accurate. Fighting games are a bit iffy, but I am pretty picky with those, and I'd rather use a stick anyway.
