Free open source video editors

Post by IcKy99 »

ok guys so i have some video of my band on our north cal tour from back in october. we played this club called hazmat and the videos are extremely dark, on ubuntu i had an editor that let you change the brightness on your videos. now im looking for a FREE video editor on XP that has that feature and maybe a little more versitile than windows movie maker.

any suggestions?

Avidemux is cross platform and should do what you need.

virtual dub is freeware, the UI is not that friendly but its quite powerful if you poke around with it and the results are good quality

Virtualdub allows nothing more than dry editing. No transitioning or any effects really. Just a warning to the OP. It's primarily an encoder and capture tool and nothing more.

yeah there arent any really that many effects or anything but you can adjust the brightness and do some basic editing.
