What was the last movie you've seen?

Vintage Matt Stone/Trey Parker humor, though I can honestly say that it would have been better to watch shortly after South Park came out. By now, their humor has evolved and while not a bad film, I just saw it too late.

Gave it 4 out of 5 stars on NetFlix. It's kinda like what Glee would be if it was a little less Fame and a lot more Sleepaway Camp.

Awesome '80s B-movie schlock, which wears its '50s B-movie schlock inspiration on its sleeves with pride.

A small part of me kinda wants to watch Cannibal Holocaust. I know one friend loves it, but he loves all sorts of gorefest movies, so he's not exactly a good barometer of films. Anyone else have any input?
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Cannibal Holocaust has unsimulated violence against animals, including a part where the cast kill a turtle and rip it open.

Nothing especially deep to say about it. It may have been cliche, but I felt it was self aware of that fact and played off of it well. Interesting cinematography and relatively decent acting along with some nice slasher scenes made for an entertaining ride. It felt like a proper homage to classic slasher films. I'm not saying it was without fault, I'm just saying I found it enjoyable. It was refreshing compared to some of the other crap they have been trying to pawn off as horror these days.

I haven't ever seen the original, I'll be looking into that as well.
Fair enough, but I found only the supportive cast to be of any worth, the girl and her messed up post-BF BF ( ) were rather annoying. Zodiac did it much better and maintained respect to the victims, even though yes I realise it wasn't a cheap horror-slash-slasher movie

IVANS, xtc.

Trailer

I hate to use a cliche like "The movie Hollywood doesn't want you to see", but in this case it appears to be true. I believe the movie was nt financed by a studio, and was only distributed due to a 50/50 split of profits.

The movie follows an amalgam of famous Hollywood agents all balled into one frantic and very successful man. Of course, sex drugs, and addiction take over the agents life and the downward spiral begins. But a downward spiral and a loss of success do not always go hand in hand.

Directed by Bernard Rose (Immortal Beloved), who used direct inspiration for the lead character, is known for his striking visuals, but this time around relies on his cast for impact.

Hey Pulsar, have you seen the original The Town That Dreaded Sundown? I wonder how the remake compares to the original.

Nope, though I was going to watch it once but never did. In a vain attempt to add more content to this post, here's a review of a new horror title that you guys might have mentioned in the assorted October topic. http://www.cine-vue.com/2014/10/london- ... eview.html

Adventures of Ford Fairlane (1990)

Yet another $1 gem from the pawns :).

Freaking love this movie. Main character is basically the biggest misogynistic asshole I have ever seen on screen and there are no lines they weren't afraid to cross with the movie. It's one of those movies where the main character is so overacted on purpose that you can't help but laugh no matter how dirty the joke is  . Also helps that the movie acknowledges that it is just a movie and things never really get to serious. Altogether the story is shit but the actors and jokes are top notch.

Robert Englund also had a pretty big part in the film and he was freaking hilarious.

Trailer:

Shit like this is why this is now one of my favorite comedies. I could never predict what was coming next and nothing was taboo
Probably my favorite part of the movie was him returning home after a rough night only to find his placed trashed and his Koala hanging from a rotating ceiling fan. Never in a million years was I expecting something like that and in the context of this film it was a priceless moment  .
