Yes it's basically Harvest Moon mixed with Minecraft.

I don't know why but even I go "Yuck" at the thought of anything mixing with minecraft and the pictures of it don't help matters:

Maybe something will change but as it stands I don't know if I want to play that one(and I'm saying that even though I have Hometown story but that's a different story  )

Is that game worth buying? It seems like they just took an extra feature from a new Harvest Moon game and made a separate entry

I'd say yes, but the way going between maps is handled is a bit....odd? It takes a little getting used too even knowing what you're going into(I've been meaning to play it more but just haven't gotten around to it lately). I think I'm going to end up using a personal day or two and using that to try and play more games(I need a extra day off or two soon because I'm about to crash anyways and i couldn't sleep today so tonight's going to be bad knowing my luck...) including Hometown story...

Hi guys,

Long time reader, first time poster here!

I'm (hopefully) about to get my first 3ds and was wondering what games people recommended? I found a guy selling one pretty cheap with a few games, Mario Kart 7 (Awesome), Asphalt 3D (Heard it was shocking bad), and Pilotwings Resort (Haven't heard too much).

I already have a decent DS collection, maybe could do with some more Mario and Pokemon as all I have is Super Mario Bros and Pokemon Silver (Without the Pokewalker) and yes I have seen the hidden gems list for DS games from here.

Hoping to pick up Zelda Ocarina of Time, Monster Hunter, some more Mario and Pokemon and Donkey Kong too, when funds allow me too. But what would you guys see as games that should definitely make everyones collection? Hopefully I'll hear a few cheap hidden gems here. :D

Endoclanton, the only hidden gem I will suggest is a download only title called Steel Diver Sub Wars. It has a free demo so you can test it out, but the game itself is an arcadey vehicle shooter, where you are a submarine pilot. It is like Starfox underwater. If the demo jives with you, the full game is $10.

My top games on the 3DS so far (I own&owned around 15 in total):

Fire Emblem Awakening (if you are into these kind of games, and it's pretty long).

Zelda Link Between Worlds (my favorite 3DS game so far, I've beaten it twice already).

Phoenix Wright Dual Destinies (again, this has to be a genre you're into to actually enjoy, but if you liked the previous games in the series, this one is the best so far).

Gunman Clive (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g7DwSRpeckg) seriously, this game costs 2 Euro on the eshop and it's the best fucking thing ever. Deffinetly worth checking out if you like platformers, and escpecially if you liked classic Megaman.

Bravely Default (you like classic JRPGs? Can't get much better than this. The plot is weak, but the battle system is ace).

and of course: Pokemon 3DS (eitehr wait for Ruby/Saphire remakes, or buy X/Y which are AMAZING games, and the first Pokemon games I bought and played to the end since Gold/Silver. Simply put it's Pokemon at its best, and if you are a poke fan and want a game that will last you a long time, this should be your first priority)

Number 1, make sure you play Super Mario 3D Land. It's amazing.

If you enjoy RPGs, then get everything Atlus has released on the 3DS:

There are two Professor Layton games exclusive to 3DS, both are worth your time.

I have personally enjoyed Resident Evil: Revelations quite a bit.
Hopefully I'll hear a few cheap hidden gems here. :D

I don't know about "cheap" though. This is a Nintendo platform.
