What Version of Final Fantasy IV Should I Play?

Heh. I beat her by luck then. Didn't use jump :/

Got beat to explaining Jump for the win.

Geez, you love beatings. To take down Valvalis without jumping is madness, even on the US release of FF2 that's a moderate beating. I'd call it 100% impossible if you did it on the 3D remake with it's cheaty cheapy simon says mega beatdown setup it has as her revenge strike on that version is instant death.
I can't remember so much the other releases, but the SNES one specifically tells you with the story box up top to 'KAIN JUMP!' so I'm not sure how that one got missed.

Nicely done! You sure do like taking a beating, no-one in your party should die in that fight.
Re: What Version of Final Fantasy IV Should I Play?
lol.. That fight took me quite a while. Die - Grind - Die - Grind - Die - Grind - Die - Grind - Die - Grind .......... Win!
Probably wasn't wearing the best armor. I didn't look anything up except where to get summons. Oh, and how to beat one of the bosses protecting one of the weapons.. Forget which one.
EDIT: How do you get the party to survive Big Bang + his random Flare casting?

What level were you on that? That is kind of how my party has always looked finishing it on the SNES at least. But the thing is, I go in around 10 levels under what you should textbook be in it looking at game guides of the era. I just never liked leveling up a whole lot and tend to run through long dungeons so I don't get worked over, but it does make boss fights a bitch. I recall that big bang attack zeromus did would usually cripple my party, sometimes off like 2-3 people so I'd blow and turn and speed recover using hipotions/life and equal spells and return to beating the guy down until it was over. I don't think I've ever had a party member over lv50 when doing that game, can't say that for the GBA release as I really don't remember but the older original I finished probably 10x over the years, got it from where I could do it in 21hours down to about 18 doing it all but the pink tail since it was a time wasting crap shoot (did it once was enough.)
There is no 'surviving' big bang, as far as I remember it's a no-dodge beatfest. It forces you to have a party over a minimum level to have a chance of surviving the fight. I know wall doesn't work and that's the one reflection/defense spell of the game to redirect magic. Since it's not physical evasion spells of any sort or protection(shell) won't work.
I really need to do FF5A. I grabbed it earlier this year to do after I was done with 6 but stuff keeps getting in the way and it's still up on the shelf sealed up for when I want to get that new game high.
