If you happened to already have this game on Steam you're in luck; since it uses a central profile somewhere in your user directory the GOG version will automatically pick things up, so any progress and settings you have will already be there no matter which executable you launch.

so I finally got around to installing this game, went off without a hitch. started playing it and it plays absolutely smooth as butter on my PC, but the screen only fills up like 1/8th of my screen, how do I play it in full screen? I assume it must be a resolution issue. Hopefully someone can help me, I so badly want to play this again.


Edit: NVM! found video settings options and changed it to 1080p and holy crap! I never knew this game could look so good. haha I think my old Windows XP machine would of just exploded if I tried playing it on these settings. What a blast from the past, why can't they make a proper modern sequel? How hard can it be?

For what its worth I remember having fun with the 2001 sequel but the marine campaign was the high point and it wasn't terribly long.

The first AvP (AvP C2000) did not have an expansion pack. it was AvP2 that had the Primal Hunt expansion pack.

ohhhhh so that is why this game looks familiar but not quite what I remembered, I must of been playing AVP2. Hah!

Is it possible to play AVP2 on a Windows 8 PC?
