Only Sega could put together the tower of unlimited enhancement power.

That's cheating. There's two copies of Sonic & Knuckles.

I still need to play that Knuckles 32X game. Been on my wishlist for awhile now.

I missed this post earlier

Hm....see the thing is that I also think Sonic 3 is a weak Sonic game, but I believe S&K is amazing, and the thing I disagree the most with you is about Sonic CD.....I think it's just.....average. I believe Sonic Advance is a better classic Sonic game than Sonic CD is. The level design just ..... sucks, imo.

See I think you all are crazy. Sonic 3 is amazing, as is Sonic and Knuckles. Sonic 2 was the low point of the Genesis games. Sonic CD is as good as Sonic 1.

One of the major draws of the sonic series, especially sonic 3 and sonic and knuckles was its ability to convey a story without using any words. They kept the important parts simple. When they started talking, that is when the shit hit the fan.

Since we are on the topic of talking Sonic & Knuckles, the lock-on technology was cool, but what was much cooler was the ultra forms. Also, I think that the Sonic 3/knuckles bonus stages are some of the best if not the best (rivaled by Sonic CD).

I don't see the appeal of Ys so we'll call it even on the difference in tastes.

I find that Sonic 3 & Knuckles to be the ultimate Sonic experience.

Anyway, happy birthday, S&K!

To be fair, I am pretty crazy

Anyway guys, here's a picture of me holding what is for me personaly as a gamer the most important game of all time, and I'm about to start my full playthrough (S&K only, no Sonic 3). I will do the Knuckles campaign first since it's shorter, then I'll take an hour long break to watch Doctor Who, and then I'll go back to finishing it with Sonic. See you guys in 1.5 hours 8)

EDIT

Knuckles campaign down :D. Died only 2 times, on the final boss. Now I'm going to take a short break and then start the Sonic campaign :D

i, too, share the love for this fine game. i think Sonic 3 locked on with Sonic & Knuckles is the definitive classic sonic experience. a masterpiece in the 16-bit platformer genre.
