SplatterHouse

I recently got a Turbografx 16 console with a couple of games included, to my delight the bundle included Splatterhouse. As I relived my childhood, I noticed that the remake/reboot on the 360/ps3, did the game no justice. For instance the classic was creepy and ominous, with enemies being grotesque and terrifying. The character Rick, is extremely tough and intimidating, but when pit against the bosses he looks very small in comparison.Overall the 360 version felt too over the top and banked more on the blood and gore than it did on, play mechanics.

So I finally got around to trying Hulu and may I just say, fuck commercials. I mean why is it that Netflix and Amazon don't have a problem but Hulu has to throw in 4 commercials into a 21 min episode? I get that they're only 60 seconds but this is still a paid service.

Would likely cost more without them. Advertising pays the bills, plus gives you a chance to go get a drink or pee or something.

Plus remember, Hulu's owned by networks. I'm sure that has a large part to play in their decision to run ads -- they're used to dealing with television ads (and the associated ad revenue), Netflix and Amazon are not.
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Ads are the reason I will not pay for Hulu's service.

Yeah it's not a very graceful revival. It's worth the price of the disk if you don't have copies of the other games though, especially with the arcade port of the original.
