That sucks! Are you not guaranteed at least something? Or is "something" possibly motes of light or ascendant mats?
Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

There are 5 chances for raid gear through the raid. 4/5 times I seem to be getting shards/energy, I have gotten the same shader 3 times and a wristband twice. I have gotten a few guns, but nothing I want.

The guns are not any better than normal legendary, but the armor allows you to get to level 30. I would love to hit 30 (I have enough shards to do it already) and just sit the game out until the next DLC comes out (or a decent event).

You can only get drops once a week from the raid, so once finished, need to wait a week to be disappointed.

I think I got a bit ahead of myself today. I think you've seen I'll post every week or two on this and play for a couple hours or so at a time. I went though and did the Vex stages on Venus from the point of going to the reef to get the tasks, and then went and got the vex lords head. That was a pain in the ass, but I'm also only lv12( on the low end ) and it says to do it at lv13 and that unlocked Mars saying lv 15 and up. I'm not sure what I'll do next, perhaps just stay on Venus and level up doing that 6 scouting mission bounty and stuff.

What are the opinions, are you all still having some fun with this or is the game's lasting appeal wearing down on you all?

I'm not playing it every night like I was just after launch (mostly due to a Mass Effect binge) but it still draws me back. I have hit a bit wall with regards obtaining certain items and my crew is still hesitant to do the raid but I still enjoy the PvP and doing Strikes with the modifiers. It's cool.

I want to give the Raid a go still, but otherwise I am going to purposefully trail off playing until the expansions hit other than perhaps some dailies here and there. I sunk ~75 hours into it in about a month, though, so I certainly think it has/had "lasting appeal" compared to most games I've played. I just have too many other things I want to spend some time with :)

I still enjoy it and am doing the raid weekly, I am currently leveling to LVL 29 and wasting all my shards, purely so I can do the Heroic Raid, so I can try twice weekly for the Raid gear to hit level 30.

As with Dave I have sunk quite a lot of time into the game already, it needs new content, but I have more than got my moneys worth.

Ive never been in love with it, I just can't sit there everyday. I'll do it once a week or so, perhaps two days in a row within that. The problem really is the crappy setup for the online mechanics, there's no lobby and no chatting with people. It makes it a real pain in the ass to find similarly minded or leveled people to take down the stages of the game with that wall in the way and had it been there I'd be on it most days a week. I have zero interest in the crucible, too many problems, and also too many hard core d-bag stalker types in such places where it gets old really fast even if I can middle the pack in games like this when there aren't balance problems. I'll end up likely playing this sucker out, or until I hit a wall that sucks hard not being able to form a party through the end of a mission because I find overleveling to do a stage just grating.

Did my first run through of the Heroic Raid tonight, still no raid gear, but got myself the Vex Mythocast exotic (Primary, automatic fusion rifle) as well as the Timebreaker vehicle, which is faster, had an awesome trail of light behnd it and has a double booster. Best drop I have got from the game.

I am stuck at 29 until ta least nexts weeks raids though.

Gah! Really hit the wall with Destiny but it isn't due to the game, it's a guy in my clan who just refuses to cooperate in the Vault of Glass. Spent a hour at the front gate with him constantly moving away from his pad, getting himself killed and getting himself worked up and frustrated. The worst of it is that he's the highest level guy in the group.

I kind of need to do the raid now as I'm pretty close to jacking the game in until the next big update. If I have to do that Martian strike again, I'll scream.
