Not even close. Struggling, punk pioneers. Had a hate the world attitude and one of the first to display that on stage.i mentioned them cause they hated the ramones and what they stood for and weren't shy about it.

Its called not giving a dickish response. I don't have the dexterity to properly play drums, let alone any other instrument.

A lot of people suggest this, and many things I've read about the band and history also suggest this. I'm not saying one way or the other, I'm just saying its very suspect to me. I definitely feel like the Pistols, like most punk, probably wouldn't have gone anywhere if they hadn't dropped at the right time. I really dislike how they became so influential on the leftist slant so much punk takes. I also like the Ramones over the Sex Pistols.

^their manager had the concept and funds to back the group but they still wrote their own songs and played their own instruments, although in sids case badly. I believe they took the manager to court since they were getting pimped. Ramones sound more bay city rollers pop than punk to me but i dig them too.
