Heh yep. I'm glad he cleaned the contacts already, but those carts need some cleaning themselves. I picked up the SamShos, KoFs, and DD. Wanted KK but it was gone by the time I messaged.

Will definitely pick up more if he does another round. Damn my pokemon mentality with systems I like! ;)

I'm guessing your already looking on Taobao? I got a Metal Slug first mission CIB mint for about 200 kuai (I wouldn't know whether that's a good price or not) from there couple years back. MVS carts on taobao are pretty much all fake though.
I haven't but thanks very much for the hint. I will definitely check it out. I've not had much time for gaming since coming back here but am getting back into the swing of things.

Right now I'm trying to find a way to get a copy of "My Chinese Coach" for DS over here. (unfortunately my CycloDS no longer works) but would like to keep picking up NGPC games where I can.

Thanks again for pointing me to that site.

I don't see what the problem is, I mean - buy cheap in loose is no longer a problem. And all MVS games are avaibles.

Seriously though, pick your serial? That's pretty lame. I love the Neo, and i'll still keep buying when I can. But I can definitely see why so many people stay away. Shame to see it happening more and more with the MVS.

Yeah I'm glad I never acquired the love of full kits. Grab the cheap loose carts and toss them in a neominibox and I'm a happy camper. Board pics can at least let me know the game is legit.

When searching for games on Taobao look for the Chinese name of a game on baidu.com first, you'll get more hits on Taobao that way.

Yr in AUS right? How much did you pay? I'm not sure how available they are but in bulk buys or on the US forums they aren't nearly what they are at the online arcade shops.

KalessinDB wrote:The ones from the group buy, it's not a question, it's getting done. They're just terrible, completely ripped off, split down the center, written on already, etc etc. It's just questioning if I'm going to be able to mentally deal with replacing some but not all

What's your line of thought though? To me, they were never really meant to be seen, so I don't get the whole "preservation" take on them, especially when they're in ruins already. But then, I drill holes in my consoles (or rather, have holes drilled in them) to upgrade the video out to standardized jacks, so I'm not exactly a high-end preservationist.
I just get new shells and keep the OG ones in a box in the closet. I only have around 10 games that got reshelled out of the 75 carts I own.
