When does global warming actually show up in real life?

It does sound lucrative. I probably wouldn't make a very convincing likeness of anything with my carving skills.

There are least a dozen dudes near Boone, NC that make them in minutes. But when you are missing a limb, you tend to stay far away from chainsaws.jp1 wrote:It does sound lucrative. I probably wouldn't make a very convincing likeness of anything with my carving skills.
Stihl (ho ho), it's amazing to watch. Much more awesome than watching someone carve ice.

Doing something about it means regulating industries and products that produce greenhouse gasses which of course results in a backlash.ZeroAX wrote:This. Honestly I don't understand why a westerner wouldn't support green technology and energy, since they play a very important factor in getting back manufacturing jobs from 3rd world countries and sustaining our comfy way of life.J T wrote:
It's cheaper to convince people it's not happening than to change your business practices.
Also it doesn't help that the people doing the regulating (like the EPA as mentioned earlier) often tend to do more harm than good for the cause.
It's a dire situation.

Went outside today and no Columbus! It turns out that is another bullshit lie!
Re: When does global warming actually show up in real life?
Since several developing countries are slowly catching up to western living standards, it's inevitable that pollution, gas emissions and pressure on ecosystems are all going to increase drastically. A robotic future with a stable population and less working hours is the best way to go, but we as a species have a propensity to turn utopias into utter dytopias, with our greed, exploitation, jealousy and pride bullshit. Anyone living in a big city experiences his or her fair share of assholes on a daily basis. A majority of people are insufferable idiots, and good leadership is a rare currency despite the heavy biomass of homo sapiens.
As a race, with all our incessant overconumption, overbreeding and just plain debauchery are we expected to have a rosy future based on the handiwork of a handful of truly dedicated visionaries? (There cannot be enough of those)

OP should spend a week in a Australia; 15 degree days in Summer with rain with 30 degree days and a bleating sun during the summer; the weather is at the very least more eradicate than it use to be. A couple of years ago it rained on my birthday, and that's during the middle of summer.
