Honestly, OS has s simple and easy to use interface, but it is in no way a gimped OS, or one that proficient technophiles can't really sink their teeth into.

You can do much more with OSX on a technical level than people realize. So saying otherwise is just ignorant and uninformed.

Also, I like how the OP states at the end of the rant that defending a product or company is inane (or something to that effect) when his entire post is about his emotional response to a commercial product. lolz

They are to simplistic and tailored to the likes of retards.

There are many people who enjoy an OS that is simple and tailored to non-technical folk. Some of these people also have problems with "simple" tasks, like making a poll on a forum.

All jokes aside, why bother making hate-posts against something as trivial as an operating system? Who cares if you don't like Apple gear? Use whatever you like and get on with your life.

im a technical person and use mac. Sure for the average user is a piece of cake which alot of people like but if you get into the insides its much more fun to tinker w/ than Windows (Linux is awesome too). My point is, dont stereo type people who use Macs! You can hate Apple all you want (i hate their ads too btw!) but dont bash the people who use them w/o knowing more than the forum trolls that are obsessed w/ everything apple spoon feeds them.

I don't mind Mac computer, but I do dislike apple for one reason.

I hate, and I mean fucking hate, their advertising strategy.

Showing appreciation for both Mac and PC is like showing appreciation for Sega and Nintendo. Gotta know each ones strengths and go to them when you need them.

The problem is that so many Mac users are those people that gobble up anything Steve Jobs will shit out. I have no problem with you using a Mac, but to me it really seems like you pay more for the exclusivity of Apple programs than for the use of 'good' hardware. I personally have a tough time justifying spending double on a machine that can barely game (yeah yeah, keep using wine...) but allows me to use Apple's programs, of which most have PC counterparts. I don't want to say 'I hate you, you damn Mac user', but most of you guys need to get off your high horse (no offense to those who use a Mac professionally).

i use mac because i feel they have decent build quality and dont get outdated quite as fast. And as I said, only hate on the trolls that are spoon fed whatever apple tells them (like my friend obsessing about the 8hour battery thats in the new MBP or w/e (its bullshit and we all know it)). Unless you bought a Mac right before they switched to intel the general lifespan that your mac can go through while being able to run nearly everything is about 4-7 years. Hell they put office mac 08 on the G3 iMacs at our school and those are from 2001! I still feel they are a bit pricey but imo its worth the fee....

I really hated the original Macs. All the way up to OS 9. OS X has a real command line, so it's alright by me. Much better than trying to work under Cygwin in Windows.

The Apple II of course, is an awesome game machine, and everyone should have one.

I hate that they make their own products obsolete every year. I hate the you-can't-change-your-own-battery sales technique. I hate that they've convinced everyone that the click wheel is a good thing. And I hate that non-designer use the words "user interface" now.

I'm not a big fan of apple computers. With that said, I think they should allow other manufacturers to sell their OS preinstalled.
