And these games have a comic book style, and I'm known for only drop in on comic arcs I like... so I don't feel like I'm missing much. I'm a guy with super powers, and stuff, stop the bad guys with the powers. The end.
imo infamous 1 is better since the city is much "taller" and it makes moving around more fun. While you have cooler powers in infamous 2, the city just isn't as fun to play in.
Yup. Infamous 1 > Infamous 2. Don't skip it.

He can skip Second Son though. Man was that game a disappointment. I'm glad I didn't buy a PS4 for it and I just played it at my cousins'.

The city was tiny, there were barely any environmental methods to move around (other than the satellite dishes and the smokes pipes, but both of those were very limited compared to the power lines/train tracks of the first game), the only traversal super power that was fun was the neon one (what was the point of the 4 powers anyway, if they all play the same for the most part?).

Also boring protagonist, a villain who always felt more like a lackey, at least his brother was a good character though.

Now the main missions? I will agree they weren't that different from previous games.

But as you understand my huge gripe with this series is that as it goes it removes more and more of the "sandbox" from the game.

I guess I'll go back and play the first one. I haven't really gotten anywhere with my powers yet, and I am not a fan of most of the side missions... they just kinda suck.

I spent longer than I'd care to admit trying to take out the double line of 16 Joker henchman right before the penultimate boss before I realized that they were just greeting me.

I felt incredibly dumb that they were just going to clap for me while I walked past them. Then I put about 5 minutes into Arkham City and the flow of the combat engine is much better; if I was doing that same fight I feel like I could have beaten it in Arkham City.

heavily online focused game gets released and has server trouble. gamers who take any shit gaming publishers throw at them (first day dlc, online passes, always online drm, ect) find it appropriate to complain about something that's to be expected (seriously, have these people not played any mmo on release month?)

Apparently not...though it's kinda common sense to yell at the dev apparenlty when things go wrong with the game upon release and not even give them chance to truly fix it before being a angry little child...
