Iraq is such a bloody mess, a tribal and sectarian vendetta-based society (Syria is just as bad, and most other mideastern countries can be just as gruesome given the right circumstances). Nobody was paying attention to such atrocities until Daesh became an uncontainable phenomenon. The sad truth is that there is no solution that doesn't incur bloodshed involving millions. The mideast seems to need its own WWII to acknowledge that co-existence is better than simmering civil wars.

Albanian nationalists fly nationalistic flag in football game against Serbia using a drone (the flag pictures an Albania that includes areas from surrounding countries, including Greece mind you, that's why it's a nationalistic and a big provocation for a region where borders change so often)

sigh....this is really the fault of UEFA/FIFA, if they banned national teams for 4 years from world/European tournaments for such behavior, they would be much less likely to do it (I know these people don't actually love football, they just love violence, but maybe some other people around them who do like football can crack their skulls a bit).
