Just saw the movie yesterday. Aside from a couple of LOL moments, I felt that it was pretty flat, even for a B movie. It definitely didn't feel like a payoff after so many years of updates and hype.

I would equate it to Star Trek: Insurrection in that it felt like a very long, sub-par episode of the show, with extra useless characters thrown in for a bigger effect.

Saw this the other day. I can't help but feel good for James and Kevin -- this movie clearly comes across as them saying, "Okay, this is our one shot, lets put every freaking thing we can think of into this movie." The plot suffers because of it (they totally lost me about halfway through) but I didn't care.

Zombies? Sure. Ridiculous mythology? Of course. Giant monsters, a gratuitous vomiting scene, and a crazy amount of special effects? Green light it all!

My favorite annoying thing to point out, as someone who's lived in New Mexico for a few months now, is that Alamogordo is like 2 hours away from Roswell.
