I was occasionally required to clean the bathrooms at the DOH Maintenance Garage I worked at though so it couldn't be much worse.... I hope .

At least anything tops picking up a 2+ week old deer on the side of the road. I had to do that on more then a few occasions.

As for the jobs the location had everything from Janitorial/Maintenance, Cashier, Pricing, Stocking, and Assembly open so it's a real toss up as to what position the interview is for.

If they do overnight, and you put down anytime, then it could be along those lines. My brief stint at Kohl's was for that, and I was pretty much hired on the spot and asked to start that night.

It says on the label "Tested by dermatologists" but it says nothing about the dermatologists opinions or thoughts on the product, making the testing meaningless.

No, no, they just mean that the adhesive of the label was tested by dermatologists, hence why it says that on the label. If the soap were tested, it would say it on the soap.

I wasn't throwing all children under the bus. Plenty of so called adults can't behave in stores and put things back either. I've worked retail before.

No, no, they just mean that the adhesive of the label was tested by dermatologists, hence why it says that on the label. If the soap were tested, it would say it on the soap.

Being an assistant to a local DA also apparently "sucks all kinds of balls" (not my words).

Yep. I have heard the same thing.

My mom really want's me to go onto Law School but I think I would be miserable as a lawyer. Really got burnt out after interning at the local prosecutors office for 3 months.

I'd avoid it. Look at how badly it messed up prfsnl_gmr.

Seriously. Do not go to law school unless you really, really want to be a lawyer. It is too expensive and too difficult an undertaking.

That said...I worked as a cashier at TRU when I was a teenager. It was awful, and I hope the store has improved its practices since the '90s.

The majority of people I know with a law degree went to Wake Forest and considered it a cakewalk compared to the application process.

Obviously different experiences as I can say I don't know of anyone who has flunked out of any "higher education" institution.

That said, good on Universities that actually do drop kids who can't cut the mustard, as a degree should be earned, not paid for.

More than likely you'll be in a room with two or three interviewers, and a bunch of interviewees. Keep in mind they are gearing up for Christmas, so hours will be long and don't be surprised (seriously) if they ask you how often you use the bathroom each day.

2 or 3 interviewers for a stocking,cashier or janitorial position that pays $7.40? HIGHLY unlikey - though it would explain why their stores keep closing.

And no, Fragems, they won't ask how often you use the bathroom. It is illegal as it can be perceived as a medical question which is off-limits per the Americans with Disabilities Act. They might ask how often you need a break or how you manage your time when it is slow - they will not ask how often you need to use the bathroom.

There are high-security and time-sensitive positions, such as an air-traffic controller, where the law allows for some limited questions. This isn't one of those positions.

You'd be shocked to see retail interviews these days.

I had 2 interviews at both Wal-Marts I worked at. Each one with a different manager.

2 interviews for Staples.

Had something like 4-5 shifts of training at Wal-Mart before I was allowed on the floor (relatively) unsupervised.

These stores have a high turnover rate and I think they try to weed out the truly crappy employees before they become entrenched.
