 : Got my first job interview next week with..... Toys R Us. No clue what the position is and the Pay will be barely above minimum wage but at least it's a start. Really need the work experience and it should give me some time to figure out what I'm going to do with myself :P.

My mom really want's me to go onto Law School but I think I would be miserable as a lawyer. Really got burnt out after interning at the local prosecutors office for 3 months.

I have a close friend who is an HR manager at a Toys R Us. I would be happy to ask her what questions you should expect if you'd like. I can tell you you will most likely be facing the gauntlet with other hopefulls, and if you don't get a "check mark" next to your name you didn't land a job.

Getting into law school is more difficult than law school. So I've been told by many lawyers. Being an assistant to a local DA also apparently "sucks all kinds of balls" (not my words).

Frown: I paid close to seven bucks for soap. It says on the label "Tested by dermatologists" but it says nothing about the dermatologists opinions or thoughts on the product, making the testing meaningless.

If you wouldn't mind asking her that would be awesome :). Thanks Luke.

Yeah I got that feeling from the application. Thing that has me kind of hopeful though is they didn't call me in for any of the jobs I applied for. Instead they were interested in the fact that I put down I was available to work any day at anytime  . I'm kind of curious to see what the position is. All I know is the pay will only be $7.40 which kind of blows but I wouldn't mind it as long as I get plenty of hours.

Truth be told I used to be all about a bar of soap from bath and Body Wash that felt like it was half soap and half coarse rocks. It had zero fragrance and tore off your skin, but damned if you didn't feel clean after using it. But you get married and things change. Neutrogena body wash for the past five years.

Will pm you tomorrow morning or later tonight, as I'll be seeing her tonight as her husband is celebrating a birthday. She'll give me the scoop.

Toys R Us is really weird when it comes to hiring. Keeping your mouth shut as most as possible is the best way to go and as you mentioned, you may be hired as a stock clerk, a cashier, who knows? Good luck, and expect me to drop some tips soon.

Alright thanks Luke :). Interview is next Tuesday at 1pm.

As for the jobs the location had everything from Janitorial/Maintenance, Cashier, Pricing, Stocking, and Assembly open so it's a real toss up as to what position the interview is for.

Edit:

I worked with Juveniles at the court house quite a bit so I'm prepared for just about anything  . Although then again Toys R Us is a whole other jungle we've had shootings and everything at that place haven't been in there in years.

Luckily he has a very small chance of having/meeting children that create messes.

Dude. More than welcome.

More than likely you'll be in a room with two or three interviewers, and a bunch of interviewees. Keep in mind they are gearing up for Christmas, so hours will be long and don't be surprised (seriously) if they ask you how often you use the bathroom each day.

Usually the hiring committee will have a list of names and open positions, and if they put "Stock" next to your name, you have the job.

I'll get more info tonight on what you should expect to be asked.
