Yeah what are those blue shields? The little I did there I'd come up on someone from the side with a machine gun or just sling my sniper rifle for a point blank non sighted shot and they'd not die. I had no idea pulse rifles and shotguns were that blown out but now that I think back that's all I saw people using.

After that garbage I had to cool off, took down more moon stuff to the point I was able to come to Venus and meet the Vex on that first level. I like the terrain there it's pretty nice.

I think the blue shields are a power up you can get from one of the classes. There's also some power upgrade you can get in one of the other classes (or sub classes?) that defuses those shields, but I can't really remember. Either way, they're annoying.

Considering the PVP is supposed to have everyone at an equal playing field, regardless of player's individual progress, it really is quite broken.

Agreed, at the time I was lv9 against up to lv29, didn't go so well clearly.

I've been debating whether or not the impact of leveling makes PvP any more broken than a FPS with some upgrades/unlockable features like COD or Battlefield 3 and I don't think it does. At least with Destiny you can enter the PvP when you feel ready whereas COD and BF will force you to start from scratch, although I guess that also has the effect of forcing you to adapt quicker.

Now I've got much more of a handle on the PvP (took a while) and am actually good at it I feel that all the little variations in class set-up have given the game more depth than I was expecting. I now basically have a PvE build and separate PvP build for each of my characters as well as a bunch of weapons suited to specific maps. I recommend you do the same if you're struggling. I also don't recommend joining PvP until you at least hit level 20.

I still think some aspects are frustrating: I especially hate the Titan's near invincibility when doing the frog splash and the Hunter's blade dance thing lasts way too long IMO. I also think that the assault rifles still have too much range despite the patch and the spawn zones can make it so you can easily get cut off from your team. But otherwise now that I've adapted to the pace of the game I'm starting to enjoy it.

I have 110 fusion kills left on my exotic bounty, if anyone feels like keeping my company while I grind through, I am available for the next 6 hours or so. (Can't be bothered leaving the house today).

I may be home in about 90 minutes or so…might be up for playing if I still have some energy left.

Finally got a blue shotgun, been starving for a rare special weapon for a while now. Tried the Weekly and got owned. Still haven't come across an exotic bounty.
