You could insert pretty much any oppressed and poverty stricken racial or ethnic minority into these sentences.
No-one is asking them to change who they are. We are asking them to stop stealing hamburgers. Theft is endemic amongst the Hamburgler community.

No-one is asking them to change who they are. We are asking them to stop stealing. Theft of picnic baskets is endemic amongst the Jellystone Park community.

No-one is asking them to change who they are. We are asking them to stop stealing. Theft of hats is endemic amongst the Shy Guy community.

No-one is asking them to change who they are. We are asking them to stop stealing. Theft of Pikachu is endemic amongst the Team Rocket community.

No-one is asking them to change who they are. We are asking them to stop causing problems for Shinra. Theft is endemic amongst the Midgar community.

What's the mayor going to do? You mean Officer Bic Mac.

We all know Mayor McCheese controls the officer Big Mac.

What we all don't know is that Grimace is pulling all the strings.

This reminds me of one of my favorite Onion characters:

The Hammurderer

Image
The Hammurderer's Jan. 11 debut ad—in which he seizes and devours the McDonald's Happy Meal Guys, oblivious to their frantic screams—earned poor marks from parents and child-development experts, who feared the spot might send the message to children that killing is acceptable. Several weeks later, more controversy erupted over the promotional coloring book "Shivved In The McRibs," in which the Hammurderer decapitates Mayor McCheese and eats his head. Responding to widespread public outrage, McDonald's executives defended the coloring book as "not nearly as violent or socially irresponsible as it has been made out to be, given that the Mayor's head is, in fact, a giant and conceivably edible cheeseburger."

Stop asking for an entire group of people to be deported. I find that very distasteful.
