I support the use of slow (5400 rpm) drives for bulk, longer-term storage, because they have very good reliability. I have had nothing but crap luck with fast drives, mechanical or otherwise.

What do you play that requires two mouses?

I'm also thinking I might go for a 980 myself now after thinking about it. I'm still going to wait and see what amd comes out with and if it forces nv to drop process like theydid with the 770 and 780.

CM Storm Devastator Gaming Bundle w/Optical Mouse
XBox One controller

...I really do little gaming w/ the actual kb/m, so I didn't feel the need to go all out. I also found that I don't like the super loud mechanical keyboard switches. So I settled on this pretty cheap CM bundle, mostly based on the fact that it glows blue haha.

It's nothing overly fancy, just a nice entry-level priced gaming set, that's plenty good for my uses.

Nothing. I use the Naga in FFXIV and other games with a lot of skills and/or MMO like CDs. The Deathadder is for anything else like FPS and other things that don't benefit from 12 thumb buttons. The forward/back buttons are in the thumb area on the Deathadder. Very convenient for having just a few extra buttons in most games. On the Naga the forward/back buttons are on top of the mouse and very inconvenient to reach.

980 sure is nice though they need to improve the drivers. I get graphical issues I didn't get before w/ the 770 in FFXIV. I'm sure the next update will fix it.

My keyboard isn't super loud. I also installed dampeners. Not really much/any louder than any other keyboard anymore. MX Blue switches are louder even with dampeners though since the switches have that built in click.

KB - Dell DJ331 - aka freebie with Dell PCs
Mouse - Logitech M100

Same setup I have used since 2000. Sometimes I get fancy and use a Logitech Trackman Marble Mouse.

Console Controllers:
NES
SNES
Saturn
PSX
Original Xbox
Wii
PS3

I have a plethora of adapters and use which ever one I think fits the game best. But most of my controller PC games are played with a Hori EX2 Stick or a Hori Fight Stick Wii. The Fightstick is updated with Sanwa buttons, the EX2 needs them pretty badly.

getting back to speaking on upgrades, I think I've decided my next GPU will be a GTX 970. Just came out last month, and getting super glowing reviews. The series hovers in the lower $300's range, but I have a hunch we'll see some nice sales around the holidays and into the new year. I've actually never gone w/ Nvidea before.

Mouse: Logitech VX Revolution
Keyboard: Logitech K200

I would like to replace the mouse, it has several problems.
I was thinking about getting a MadCatz R.A.T. 9 Mouse.

For consoles, I use the official default controller in pretty much all cases.
On Genesis, I use the IR Wireless Six Button controllers the most, unless the game doesn't work with them.
On Wii U I'll regularly switch between the GamePad, Pro Controller, and Wii Remote, depending on the game.

I generally avoid everything Madcatz always. That mouse looks uncomfortable.

What are you looking for in a mouse? You will get the best tracking from an optical mouse. I can link a list of mice with perfect tracking. That's not to say that they are the right mouse for you. But I think they deserve consideration.

MadCatz is usually craptastic ... but apparently their computer peripherals are quite nice.

That mouse looks uncomfortable because it's in it's compacted size. The mouse is fully adjustable and has a weight system. You can make it fit your hand very precisely. It uses BlueTooth 4 (claimed 1ms response time) and is rechargeable.

Pretty much every outlet and independent review I've found of this claims it is excellent. There are also 7 and 8 versions that are significantly cheaper and lose out on some laser resolution, weighting, and rechargability. Apparently the battery leaves something to be desired. But that's always up to how the thing is used.

I've also had enough Logitech products to get tired of their BS. So, I'm willing to make a radical leap.

In any case, tracking isn't an issue with my mouse and other laser mice I've used (though I've never used an optic mouse that had even halfway decent tracking). It really comes down to compatibility with how I use the thing.
