PS4/XB1 - flip a coin? both will get most 3rd party stuff; you won't miss much. I guess it comes down to what exclusives you want and which controller you prefer.

To Wii U owners: Do you use the standard controller normally or do you usually use the "normal-looking" controller? I'd like to own one eventually but I truly don't like that big controller with the screen

I've only used the pack-in controller so far, but I've come to the realization that I need a Pro Controller as well.

Really depends if I have access to the TV or not.

If the game is meant to work using one display, I'll use the pro controller (or some dedicated controller).

I find myself looking down a lot with games that duplicate the screen on the pad.
It's like trying to ignore closed captioning, even though I understand the words being spoken.

I almost exclusively use the gamepad or wii remote, depending on the game. (Wii remote for Mario Kart cause I'm a boss like that and Wii remote and nunchuck for Pikmin 3 because it really is a lot better that way). The only time I have used the pro controller is when playing Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze, as there is really no use to the gamepad for the game.

I also have super big hands so the gamepad fits me like a glove.

Ive played the 360 Culdcept Saga and it is decent. I have this as well, but have yet to play it. Tektoro was a big fan of it.

Don't knock it till you tried it.

I thought it was ridiculous looking at first too and would never be comfortable, but it really is. They've got a little finger ridge on the back right underneath the ZR/ZL buttons to help hold it better and more comfortably.

I bought a Pro Controller so my buddy could play Hyrule Warriors with me without having to Wiimote/Chuck it, but when I'm single played I'm always using the default gamepad. I will agree that you do occasionally look down at it though (less so now than I did the first week I bought it)
