Another Model 1 owner here. Considering doing the mod anyway, even with the extra difficulty.
Re: Thank you Racket Boy!!
question is
does good games exist for saturn
few and outdated graphically it hurts the eyes i guess
dreamcast sounds a better choice, better games and graphically appealing
AND no chip needed to play games....
i am thinking of getting a saturn, but game selection is a problem

Kind of been in the same boat for several years. Would be interesting to get one, but I only see myself getting a half-dozen games or so. Not really interested in spending the money on Japanese games, either.kingmohd84 wrote:question is

Re: Thank you Racket Boy!!
I would say Saturn is only really worth it if you're going to be importing games. The US/European libraries aren't so good, and the system itself seems to be horribly expensive to get off eBay and the like. The best place to buy a Saturn is Japan, since they're like 10 bucks, so if you've got any plans to visit anytime soon, just do that.
My game-related blog.

If you like shmups then you must own one. Radiant Silvergun has to be the shmup ever made and alone worth the price of a Saturn. Nobody does 2D like the Saturn, if you hate original, innnovative 2D games stay away from the Saturn. It really get more use than my current gen systems.

The Saturn is also tops for fighting games, especially Capcom ones. They released a HUGE chunk of their fighting catalog for the Saturn.

Man... That would be very time consuming and difficult, unless you have profound engineering skills.elvis wrote:Another Model 1 owner here. Considering doing the mod anyway, even with the extra difficulty.

That is what has scared me away from modding my model 1...jay00 wrote:Man... That would be very time consuming and difficult, unless you have profound engineering skills.elvis wrote:Another Model 1 owner here. Considering doing the mod anyway, even with the extra difficulty.
