What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

No judgments though, if I didn't have commitments to meet and examples to set I would be burning right now. I never did eat any, guess I'll never know what that's like. I imagine it's much the same as smoking it.
I'd guess that around 70% of my friends smoke on occasion. It's more "socially acceptable" than smoking cigarettes in my experience. No one bats an eye.

Great buddy of mine told me ma story that has the delivery and hilarity that I can't duplicate. He's a prominent sports journalist that is a total ace. His love/hate relationship of being paid to comment on sports runs in his family, and any fan of the Red Wings knows his Father's name. Great guy, great columnist, great person in general. His story of one day:

Luke. I had to take a red eye out of Charlotte and it was maybe 2am when I left. Felt like shit. To add onions to the basket I found a bag of weed in my jeans pocket when checking in my rental car. So what did I do? I ATE IT! (the way he said this was hilarious. Trust me on this one. The guy doesn't even emphasize words while on radio and tv, but his delivery of "I ATE IT" was super fun).

He also said he went straight to bed. So I guess eating pot equals sleep, says my two times of watching others do it.

Well then, you ought to have a nice garden.
We found some weed growing in our weeds in the back yard yesterday  .

So... it sounds like I'm the only person in my age group who HASN'T tried drugs and/or alcohol.

Eating weed isn't necessarily sleepy time, but you end up ingesting a heck of a lot more THC eating rather than smoking. I've been told eating can also be "more intense" and is a different high, kinda the same thing I hear about people using vaporizers.

Nothing wrong with that, but I doubt you're the only one.

I have a misspent youth and all that, not glorifying it, not ashamed of it either. I gave it up to be a dad, it's just a choice. Nothing wrong with smoking a little MJ, if your life allows it, it is certainly better for you than alcohol. Nothing wrong with abstaining either, good choice for a lot of people.

had an insanely busy yet super rewarding weekend.

friday night we (the arcade bar team) loaded a bunch of arcade machines into a local comic book shop and an artists gallery for the monthly "First Friday" art shows downtown. got lots of exposure out of the deal, a small bump to our indiegogo campaign, and it was fun as hell.

saturday morning we did the same thing for Awesome Con in indy, putting some machines in their game room and passing out flyers, etc. ended up doing a nice podcast interview with some guys for Nerd's Domain. we ended the night by dropping off a couple machines at a local brewery where we're having a halloween party at the end of the month. i got to plug in my Virtua Tennis cabinet for the first time and realized that not only did i get a fully working naomi cabinet with a nice 25" nanao monitor, i got a GD-ROM system with it as well. i was under the impression that VT was a cart based game only, but i'm glad i was wrong. the cab was $170, so i think i came out ahead.

sunday we made a trip to purchase some games for the arcade bar and ended up getting some great stuff at a great price. i'll post some more on that later, i'm sure.

today's my birthday and my GF woke me up at midnight with cake and a card and a song, which was a nice surprise. took the day off work and ate lunch at a new spot called milktooth, and i swear to god, it was the best breakfast i've ever had. sweet tea fried chicken and bacon-crusted caramel apple belgian waffles? yeah.

also found some bitchin metal records at an antique store.

so, yeah, this weekend ruled. hope you guys are doing well.

Not you, I hope?
As far as I know. My department still feels pretty safe, but we'll know in the next two weeks.

 - package I sent via international to a forum member seems to of gotten lost after I sent it

:) - only a partial grin, finally got through to a actual human being when I called the help desk number! Don't know how in the world I managed but I don't care, i have a case number and hopefully that will make it easier to figure out what went wrong in me shipping this even though I made sure to print out the international stuff along with the tracking and put it on the thing. If this is the trouble i'm going to go through doing this though I think i'll put a stop on international shipping unless usps stops losing my stuff...
