Charles Bukowski was an american novelist/poets. Hank Moody was loosely based on him. He was a drunk, he hanged out in bars, with prostitutes and other creme de la creme. His writing is soooo funny, when I play In the Lounge Of the Lizards I always remember Bukowski.

Re: Leisure Suit Larry
I would love to see some
kind of a spin off of Larry based on some of the Charles Bukowski novels/stories, that would be awesome.

I could agree many fans including Lowe himself wanted nothing to do with those two titles. It would be interested in hearing your thoughts about those I also enjoyed your retrospect write up for the originals, thanks for the info!nickherc wrote:Play the old ones, you'll to love them. Box office bust is actually terrible and broken mess of a game but again I made it far enough to get some satisfaction from it (I'm a sucker for one or two things you don't see normally in games AO wise).
Ironically my feeling about the older ones are opposite, I was intrigued when I witnessed its contents but too young to comprehend the gameplay and logic back then. I will have to play through them someday to have more an opinion ( which I can safely assume will love) but until then..
All in all you should included the last two installments good or bad still part of a series albeit the direction it went. I maybe the only person to praise Magna Cum Laude but at the same time may have cracked its shell for more than what it appears.
I hear you, I really do, but I can't include them. I just can't :S. I really consider them no-cannon and by that, not a part of Leisure Suit Larry franchise. I could go on and on what's wrong with "those two", but maybe on another occasion
.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.
