It has, but I really don't consider it cannon. Let it fade away   .

No. I will not let it fade away. I also demand that you devote more attention to Box Office Bust.

Why did they go with remake? I would love to see a new Larry game from scratch :? .

I've beaten Magna Cum Laude more than a dozen times, actually after mastering the game and seeing almost all of the content and dirty stuff I rank it high on my game charts. Box office bust is actually terrible and broken mess of a game but again I made it far enough to get some satisfaction from it (I'm a sucker for one or two things you don't see normally in games AO wise).

Ironically my feeling about the older ones are opposite, I was intrigued when I witnessed its contents but too young to comprehend the gameplay and logic back then. I will have to play through them someday to have more an opinion ( which I can safely assume will love) but until then..

All in all you should included the last two installments good or bad still part of a series albeit the direction it went. I maybe the only person to praise Magna Cum Laude but at the same time may have cracked its shell for more than what it appears.
If you can see the future while remembering the past, you may just have control of the present.

Play the old ones, you'll to love them. If you find graphics to old, try reloaded, would be a good gaming experience.
I hear you, I really do, but I can't include them. I just can't :S. I really consider them no-cannon and by that, not a part of Leisure Suit Larry franchise. I could go on and on what's wrong with "those two" :D, but maybe on another occasion ;).

It's pretty high up there in the: WHYYYYYY?!?! category.

The graphic/audio update is pretty amazing, obviously. The game is still the same game, a lot (if not all) of the added jokes/gags/puns/etc feel as tacked on as they are, and the asking price was pretty ridiculous. As someone who loves 1, 2 and 3, the nostalgia in me hoped this would be a good idea (and it mostly succeeds I guess), but all it does is remind of me of how utterly puerile the game was, and I struggle to understand why I have such fond memories of it. :(

I guess it's all a part of growing up (na na na na na na I can't hear you na na na na na) and changing tastes.

Well, I'm grown up and I find the humour in Larry games still amusing. It really captures the pathetic spirit of horny guys+I really love toilet humour.

I do too (love toilet humour)...but maybe what I'm getting at is that the remake ruined the mood in which the jokes were appropriate and it all came together. The new graphics just make it all cute and out of place, I dunno. Could be a mood thing, sometimes you play a game at the wrong time in the wrong mood and it just comes out all wrong.
