Been drinking a bit of this Chinese beer recently:

Pretty decent. Not like it blows me away or anything, but it's super cheap.

For me, bourbon = Elijah Craig, the 18 year if you can find it.

More coffee, this time around with some Nestle Toll House Chocolate chip creamer in it and more sugar than last time I think...tastes 10x better than yesterdays cup...

Went tailgating and to a football game yesterday and tried Southern Comfort with pineapple juice. I felt like I should have been wearing a skirt.

That's said with a half smile as I know women who can drink me under and over the table, but holy cow, I never knew SOCO was so...sassy.

If there was a "whisky lite" it would be Southern Comfort. Not everyone likes a bite to their liquor, and that's fine, but soco is maple syrup sweet. Not a fan.

And guess what? I asked the clerk and he said that it didn't contain "southern" nor "comfort".

Yeah, Southern Comfort is what my mom drinks.

Speaking of drinking, I quit drinking eleven months and three weeks ago. Most friends assume I still drink. I didn't really tell many people about it. I don't know why not. Maybe I didn't want to explain myself. When you tell someone you quit drinking, they assume you have some kind of "rock bottom" story. Nope, not me. I didn't crash my car or punch a cop. My best friend quit drinking, and I promised him I would quit with him. That's all.

Next week is the local Oktoberfest, and I'm thinking about breaking my alcohol fast. I imagine that my tolerance will be way down after a year of no drinking. Just the music alone is worth the price of entry. What a lineup, and I'm not talking about Bohemian Polka music. I mean Blues, folk, bluegrass, americana, and rock-n-roll bands abound.

I quit drinking a couple weeks ago. Just felt I needed to stop for a while.

"Oh, you were finished?

Well, allow me to retort."

It's because you bought that game in your sleep isn't it?

A few months ago I attempted to go a month dry, and I really wish I hadn't told anyone about it. Everyone thought it was stupid and laughed at me, which made it quite a bit harder.
