I know we have to be careful with NES and SNES. What about Genesis? I'm sure not going after MUSHA or anything near or above the hundred dollar mark.
The only reason I'm thinking about this is because I'm looking to pick up a Castlevania Bloodlines cart eventually; I sure don't want to spend money on a bootleg. On the other hand, everything else is inexpensive (though prices have risen slightly from what I've seen in stores) so I'm not really concerned about the common games quite yet.
You guys seen any bootlegs out and about lately? Have they started to pop up quite as frequently on ebay as more popular bootlegs? (e.g. Earthbound, Little Samson, etc)
What's the status on Genesis bootlegs?

I am actually less concerned with bootlegs as they are easy to spot with the fake PCB. I am more concerned with reproduction artwork such as labels, inserts and manuals. I think it will become common to see a beat up MUSHA have its artwork ''bootlegged'' to increase the value. It could take a $50 cart and become a $300 CIB.

Bryan makes a strong point. It would be easy to take a Splatterhouse 3 cartridge and print out a new label and new cover art.
