Most people who say things like that probably can't wavedash. There's really nothing cheap about it, and it feels quite fun to do.

Got some time in to play it this morning. Unlocked a handful of characters and am enjoying the game a bunch. My goal is to unlock all the little achievements, which isn't too hard so far, as many can easily be set up for success. Made me a mii fighter, Adolf. A robot from the past with an arm cannon, because...you know...yeah!

Playing as some of the new characters, I see a lot of cool techniques that can be utilized. I am surprised as to how my perception of who will be good and who won't be changed the moment I got my hands on it. I really thought Wii Fit Trainer was going to be awesome, and so far I find her/him to be underwhelming in comparison to other characters like the Villager.

Shulk completely dumbfounds me as it looks like you REALLY need to spend time with his specials to figure out how they work properly. Be that as it may, the game is look really beefy in terms of strategy. There are your typical mirror characters that have minor differences, but there are sooooo many more that really stand unique in comparison to other smash games.

Still working on unlocking my mains though.....grumble grumble.

This is essentially my first Smash Bros game. I did buy Brawl on release day, but I didn't really understand the game, and multiplayer was essentially broken those first couple weeks. It was taking literally 10 minutes to find a match. I didn't enjoy waiting all that time just for a two-minute match.

Playing the demo convinced me to get this. I am having a lot of fun. Online matches are started without any delay. There is virtually no lag (I've had two momentary bouts of slowdown out of dozens of four-player matches). I think I am quickly getting a grip on how this game is to be played.

Nice! I am glad you are enjoying it. You are right, the multi-player in Brawl did leave a lot to be desired with long wait times for matchmaking. Here it is much faster. I played my first handful of games last night, once I got Mr. Game & Watch and it went without a hitch.

Also, who are people playing as? Any big disappointing characters? Notice some characters getting buffed or nerfed?

I noticed that Fox has been nerfed dramatically... thankfully. No more Fox mirror matches in tournaments. Sonic has improved greatly from Brawl, with a faster dash, better range on his normals and the like.

Also... my man Game & Watch has improved. His Up Special still allows me to follow up with an attack like in Brawl and his smashes have much better range. Also his bacon special has a much better range as well to troll people from a distance. I am loving it! Now, to just add one more character to my repertoire and it will be complete!
