:D - I got a new Macbook yesterday.

:( - It kind of feels like I'm learning how to use a computer again. I need to get Parallels.

Parallels is so worth it(though hope if you are in school that they don't make you use snap if you do a introductory computer class, I've learned the hard way that is one thing that doesn't work). There's even work arounds for games with VM detection(for some not all games that don't work in VMs) so that they will run without moaning about a VM(and on my mac they run pretty decently and higher than I've been able to set stuff at before...)

Parallels is a very nice piece of software. I don't use it much myself, since I built my PC in a way that it is triple-booted between Windows 8.1, Mac OS 10.9, and Ubuntu 14.04. I like messing around with different OSs, so I have all of them natively running on my own hardware.

Yeah that's nice to do though I'm not a big fan of switching around like that since it involves more downtime to switch the OS

I was thinking about just going the Boot Camp route since all I really need windows for is Office and games. Most of the time I'll be on OS X.

Let me guess suddenlink? (yes I did a google search, never heard of the company until now... but wouldn't be surprised if it's more uproar over rising renewal costs for those channels).

Yup. And what super stations do we get now?

Blaze
FXX
Pivot
Uplifting
OWN
Sprout
The Paul Reiser Network
and some other nonsense.

I'm cancelling today. I grew up when it was still The Comedy Channel, and I won't pay for cable that doesn't include Comedy Central. Fuck suddenlink. Fuck it right up it's stupid ass.

Can't you get most of those things on hulu and netflix anyways? (I wouldn't know because I generally don't generally know what they are, but after looking at a list that's a lot of channels to lose...)
