It isn't that hard, I don't think...

Shitty situation, but not much that can be done if she is digging on ladies now, I guess she could have offered to "Spice things up." but feelings would end up getting involved anyway.

I feel sorry for your buddy. At least she was honest instead of going behind his back though.

This is an entirely correct assessment.

Hey Ricky,

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I have had my fair share of problems with Drocnoc University as well.

By the way, I happen to know a really good babysitter in Athens, WV. She owes me a favor. Would you like me to get in touch with her for you? I wouldn't want your wife to miss her photoshoot.

True, I didn't mean to trivialize that bit in my post. It really sucks kids are involved in that situation. Hopefully both parents can focus on the difficulties the kids will be facing and deal with hurt feelings and new found awareness privately and amicably.

I get the idea this will not go down amicably. When a parent has changes in their sex life, like selecting a new partner, it tends to go bad for kids. I don't mean post divorce new partner, which can go either way, I mean in a case where daddy decided he wanted a younger girl before getting a divorce, or someone figures out that they might be gay late in the picture. (I mean, I would think most people would figure that out before they had kids.)

Some people deny for a long time and think that getting married or having kids will 'fix' them since religions and cultures in many places often lead people to think they're broken.

(not trying to stir up religious or culture debate)

It sucks, but what should she do? I mean early or late it's still a fact, right? You have to love the kids enough to put all that second. It isn't the same as cheating.

Well, I honestly didn't think of that angle.

I wasn't meaning to say it was the same as cheating, and I'm sorry if it came off that way. Ideally, she still would put the kids first, but there's a lot of times where that isn't the case in these types of situation.

I didn't take it like that, no worries. I'm just saying it is what it is. All you can do is hope they make the best of it. I imagine it wont be easy for any of them.
