i'm considering going vga, and i'm looking at a 19" inch viewsonic lcd monitor. this one, to be exact:

anyone tried this or another viewsonic monitor? just wondering if i'll have any issues with resolution/black bars/squished screens/sea monsters...

Just pray you don't wind up with the same problem I had. My LCD created a thick 2inch black bar on the left side, because the signal was pushed too far to the right. The h-position couldn't be pushed far enough to the left to compensate.
